A Warm Winter Refresh: 

The Perfect Cure for your January Blues

It happens so abruptly. The clock strikes twelve, friends and family head home and the decorations get packed away in storage along with the holiday cheer.

Okay, that may be a touch dramatic but along with the frigid temperatures often comes a case of the January blues. Don’t worry, we feel it too.

This past week, as we tend to do in the new year, we were feeling a serious need for a refresh. When we set out in search of inspiration, we stumbled upon Aura color stories, a paint collection by Benjamin Moore. 

Specifically the color, pinky swear, a sophisticated muted neutral with a hint of mauvy-blush undertones. The perfect solution, we thought, to warm up one of our spaces… and our hearts.

We got right to work adding a dose of soft color to the wall AND fireplace, for a monochromatic look. This simple change instantly gave us a jumping-off point that inspired the way the rest of the room came together. 

A fresh piece of organic art for the mantle, some warm winter textures brought in through pillows and throws, and other beautiful accessories that we incorporated because simply, they sparked joy!

We were left with a final product that promises to inspire AND keep us warm during the winter months. If you need us, we’ll be snuggled up with our favorite blanket and a cup of something warm in front of the fire.
