The Element of Texture and its Many Forms

Working with texture has long been one of our favorite elements of design. Without it, a space (or an outfit for that matter) lacks visual interest and is left feeling cold, flat and boring.

And while the cooler seasons of Fall and Winter seem to more naturally lend themselves to the use of textures in the form of chunky textiles and heavy materials. We are noticing (and loving) a particular focus on alternative forms of texture as we head into Spring/Summer and beyond.

From the organic nature of earthly materials to the beautiful variation of primitive vessels, we are loving thinking outside the box when it comes to creating visual interest in design.

When incorporating unexpected elements of texture, we are doing more than just creating beautiful spaces; we are storytelling through the tangible. And every story is just as unique and jaw-dropping as the next!
