We Rise By Lifting Others
December 23, 2019
In the spirit of the holidays, we firmly believe that we rise by lifting others. And because of your generous support of our small, but mighty local business...you give us the gift of being able to continue our tradition of a Home Holiday Transformation.

It is also you, our supporters that nominate all of our past, present, and future recipients.

This year, Robin von Gillern, a very successful real estate agent here in town, made a compelling case for a former client of hers. She writes,
“ I have met so many wonderful families through my profession, and one person and her family stand out to me as exemplifying everything good in this world.”
Robin continues in her nomination letter by sharing that this past year has been especially difficult for Kathy, our nominee, with the loss of her beloved husband. Just a year ago, her husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Kathy cared for him at home throughout his courageous battle. Sadly, he lost his battle this past August.
(You can read the full nomination letter here with more details of her story.)
Facing the holidays amid grief, sorrow, and the pain of loss is devastating. And while a home transformation will not change this difficult truth, perhaps we can give this family a ray of beautiful light to distract them from the darkness of their loss for even a brief moment in time.
So, on Sunday, December 15th, our team gathered to give this family a much-needed surprise. With the help of Kathy’s adult daughter, we managed to distract her for a few hours while our merry crew performed their transformation magic.
We hope you enjoyed this video as much as we cherished making it.
Kathy wrote to me after our transformation,
“I have to tell you I wake up every morning, and I still can’t believe that’s my living room and dining room.
I love it so much. It has provided a turning point for us. Thank you, thank you!!
And her daughter who helped us pull off this little bit of magic sent me this text...
"I just wanted to say thank you so much for making my mother (and all of us) so happy, you were able to capture her essence in your design. It's so peaceful and she said this has made her Christmas. Thank you for bringing happiness to a time that has been hard for all of us."

The power of having a space in your home that lifts your spirit and reminds you that hope, love, and light is ever-present is so important, especially during the darkest of our days.
Thank you, all of you, from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our business in such a way that allows us to share small acts of kindness throughout our community.

May your holidays be bright,
The entire K. Renee Team,
Kelli, Jeff, Julie R.,
Stacie, Travis, Lisa, Dana,
Wendi, Paula, Julie B., Susy,
Frank, Kasey, Gina, Lana and Jackson.
