It's Party Time

How does time continue to fly so quickly?     I hope you all had joyous moments to cherish over your Thanksgiving weekend.    No matter what, there is always a moment, isn’t there?   

Mine this year was a surprise gift I received from my stepdaughter.   I always hesitate when I include ‘step’ when describing my daughter Jennifer and my son Brandon because, despite the fact that I am not their actual mother, they are always my kids (along with their fabulous Mom.) 

You might also guess... I am a hard person to buy gifts for...but this time Jenni hit it out of the ball park.   On Thanksgiving day, she presented me with an amazing fashion illustration as a thank you for my part in her wedding last May.

How cool is that?   The illustration was done by a New York fashion illustrator, Laura Kay,  that Jenni has been following on Instagram for some time. She does work for Cartier, Ralph Lauren and Bloomingdales...and now us.   

How very thoughtful!    Thank you Jennifer and Andrew.   It means the world to me.

 And now that it is December, we turn to holiday parties and gatherings and the age old question...what will we wear?

The Pink Suit

This 'just in' pink Theory suit can be easily dressed up or dressed down.    To make it festive, I would pair it with this amazing L'Agence 3/4 inch sleeve with a diamond encrusted neckline.    Pair with it with a pair of stilettos and voila, what a look!

Festive Top + Skinny Jeans

I especially love the shimmery metallic material of this glamorous blouse along with the detail on the neckline and sleeve.   Of course, a little bling goes a long way.

I also adore these metallic stripe trousers with a flare silhouette.    You can easily wear these with a simple black top or a black blazer for a comfortable yet very glamorous look.   Of course, the finishing touch might just have to be these bling drop earrings!  

There is also something about the holiday season that makes me want to cover myself in velvet.  

Velvet, Velvet, Velvet...

We have this insanely chic one shoulder tunic made from a soft luxurious velvet.   It gently drapes for a dramatic look especially when paired with  a long pant creating a seamless, statuesque feel.    I love this easy and comfortable holiday option. 

 You also can't go wrong with this velvet jacket in a holiday green...

Dress it down with a plain white tee or add a dramatic sequin cami...I can see lots of opportunities to wear both of these amazing pieces!
