Living a Good Life

April 28, 2014
Last week, one of my business partners (Jeff Schulz) shared a short editorial with a few of us at the store. It so simply spoke the truth about living a good life. I thought I would share it with you…

What are you living for?

By Anthony Thompson

Am I living for my security and certainty, or am I living for fulfillment?

Am I living for a safe life or am I living for a joyful, purposeful, vibrant life?

At a young age our only outlook on life is to thrive and live an incredible life with endless possibilities….

However sub-consciously, through a seamless reality we manage to manipulate an outlook on life of survival, safety and by no means a unique life (I don’t speak for all of us).

Our ambition, desire and uniqueness becomes lost as we live through a society telling us “You can’t do that”, “Don’t do that, it won’t work”, “You’re going to fail”. Our sub-conscious takes this and alters our thought and belief patterns, over time resulting is this loss of desirable outlook upon our future.

Early in my life I realized this one thing: If I am not living my passions, finding my purpose and living an amazing life, what am I living for?

It is a challenge and decision we all face (more than once in our lives) where we really have to make a decision about our motives towards our future.

It is a lot easier to live a life like most around us, but there is definitely nothing stopping you from doing the things you always wanted to do, pursuing your passions and finding a purpose in your life.

A major misconception around us is that ‘Success is what brings happiness and fulfillment’ However, reality is the complete opposite in which our ‘Happiness brings our success’.

By doing the things you love, you find your fulfillment. Your motivation won’t be money but to live your passion and a life worth living. Through pursuing your passions you will come alive, and what the world needs is people who have come alive.

Trust that the world will reward you for this and you will be living the life you want to live.

Above all, the single most important thing is that we live a good life.

Decide to enjoy life every day, and success has already come your way.

Pursue your passions, live with a purpose.

As a person who suddenly lost one life and had to build another, I know that following a purpose combined with passion has brought me back to a hopeful and positive life. I enjoy each and every day with the most passionate team of people at K. Renee and K. Renee Home. And we are clear on our purpose of providing all things beautiful for you and your home.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to create beautiful homes, room and wardrobes. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives.

How about you? Are you doing the things that you love? I hope that for all of us. As a wise gentleman once said to me about making much needed changes in my life…

“If not now, when?”

Until next week.
